Why your loved ones should dip into their savings to pay for your funeral.

Anyone that’s determined to ignore life insurance is probably not thinking about their opportunity to be memorialized either.  It’s a bill you’ll never see, but your funeral might end up costing someone more than you might think.  In 2014 the typical cost of a funeral with viewing and burial was $7,181. That figure has increased by 30% in the last 10 years.

Unless you use joint banking accounts, don’t count on your loved ones having instant access to your savings to cover costs like this either.  If you haven’t planned right, and we’ll assume you ignored that too, it could be weeks or months before your funds are available to your loved ones.  And so what?  Why not make your final mark with a heapin’ helping of financial burden.
